Justice and Peace

Here at St Mary's and St Christopher's we seek to put our faith into action; to seek the heart of God.

There are over 2000 verses in the Bible concerned with the poor, widow, orphan, stranger, the disenfranchised and outcast. And Jesus when he started his adult ministry quoted the prophet Isaiah saying:

‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’

Luke 4: 18-19

We believe that following Christ transforms our lives and that as our lives are transformed, the lives of others around us, the communities we live in and the whole world will also be transformed.

We are currently on a journey in transformation into the likeness of Christ and are seeking opportunities to engage in loving faithful action in Chepstow and beyond.

As this ministry and mission develops there will be information of how you too can become involved.
